This may be my favorite of the songs I've written. It wasn't intended to be a song when I wrote it. I just wrote down what I was feeling at the time, which was pretty lousy and unworthy. God reminded me that that is why he came.

"Jesus answered them, 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.'" Luke 5:31-32

It doesn't matter how good or bad of a day I've had, whether I have done righteous things or unrighteous things. The only way I can approach God is through the merits of Jesus. He knows my weakness. In fact, that is the very reason he came. I need a doctor, I know.
