Hello and welcome to another fun episode of MIS. In this issue we will explore the profound depths of human intellect in all its glory. To begin with, lets talk about my experiences this last week or so. Well, I went on the tour to Andorra and Barcelona (BCN). It was pretty awesome. I absolutely loved Andorra. We stayed in the Hotel d´Urgell in the capital city, Andorra la Vella. Its a large town amidst these rugged mountain. Barely squeezed in there like I don´t know how. There are houses perched up on cliffs, like you wouldn´t want to be a sleep walker and live up there. There is something that looks a lot like the Trans American Pyramid, but it is smaller. Turns ou that it is part of a gigantic spa called Caldea. Yes we went to it. It was pretty expensive, but the school paid for it, so its all good. We went to the spa the first evening for three hours. Next day we left and went back down south to the illustrious city of Barcelona, capital of the controversial region of Cataluña. BCN is a cool city, but it is still a really big city. What I liked more was what we stopped at on the way there. The Monasteri de Montserrat (Cátalan). I have really started to like monasteries. In order to be secluded and to reduce the chance that things will grow up around them they were usually put in remote, rugged places, such as the top of a near vertical granite mountain range. At least that is where Montserrat is. There was fog blowing by, rather cold. I have pictures at www.myspace.com/palawan I think that there is also a picture of the little pyramid at Caldea.

In BCN we went to the Museu de Picasso. It was a museum his early works. He actually started out doing normal paintings. He did some very nice ones. There were hardly any weird paintings in it. I guess he got weirder as he got older. We had a lot of free time there, so we did a lot of just walking the streets looking at the different espectaculos. No sé como se dice en inglés. We went to the Sagrad Familia cathedral which was very awesome, but also very strange. It was apparently a design that Gaudí had started, but they didn´t actually start work on it until after his death. Work was started in 1955. They still have a long way to go, although they have done a lot already. This thing is huge. The pillars inside are made to look like tree trunks, and they branch out at the top; really weird. We went to the 1992 Olympics stadium. Also to another Cathedral. Just a normal gigantic gothic one. You know the really old kind. The last night we were there I went with five other people from our group to a fancy French restaurant. Our waitress was Filipino. I didn´t talk to her in Tagalog though. It is really hard for me to even speak Pelawan with myself! My brain always wants to switch back to Spanish. Just before we left to come back on Thursday, I went to a knife store run by some middle eastern people and bought a butterfly knife. There were a ton of cool swords in there too. They also had an AK47 in the window. The knife was a birthday present to myself. I used the money though that someone else had given me for my birthday, so its all good.

I forgot to mention. Last day in BCN when were looking at some gothic structures near the center plaza, Brandon hurled on the cobblestone. I´d never seen someone ralph on cobblestone before, but its not like retching on the road, but more like puking on the floor. It was really gross. I almost called Europe myself. Yuck!!! Anyway.
