The Bombing of Nagasaki August 9, 1945: The Untold Story

I have been very troubled by the state of Christianity in the US.  More specifically, I have been troubled by the support and instigation of violence that our "Christian" nation has perpetrated around the globe.  There is no excuse for the crimes that have been and continue to be committed in Christ's name.  There is no excuse for the church's support.

Some time ago I was sent an article that explored this topic; I read it just this morning.  This one is eye opening.  I've been wanting to speak out against the churches support of war and violence, but haven't known how to go about it.  For me, this article made the point well, and drove it home.  Read it.  I am interested to hear your thoughts on it.

I do not think that any rallying of Christians to stand for peace will end the violence we see in the world today, but I do believe that those who know Christ should stand up for His truth, and thus establish a clear distinction between Christians who follow Christ, and Christians who do not.  Christ's name is tainted by our complacency.

Yesterday I read an article that speaks very well to the concerns raised by Christopher. I know it is rather long, but please take the time to read.

That was good.  So how do we speak out?  ...and to anyone who starts the article, come back and finish it.  It's worth it.
