There are Peace Movements

I have been reading about a DVD titled Encounter Point.  I think most of you would find it interesting.  Here is page that shows who's who.  And here is the page with the trailer.

This looks like a great DVD.  I hope that we get a chance watch it sometime.  We need to pray for these people.  They are the only hope for Isarael and Palistine.

This remind me of a couple of books Crissy and I read not to long ago.  One is by a Palestinian who has worked to promote peace.  He has an incredible story. It really gives you a personal connection with the whole struggle and what a seemingly impossible situation it is. And also gives hope that "peaceful resistance" can bring change. It's called "Blood Brothers."  We highly recommend it. The other is by Brother Andrew.  Called "Light Force."  Brother Andrew has spent quite a bit of time in the Middle east talking heart to heart with people on both sides of the conflict, including the leaders of Hamas and Hezbola.  Crissy also recommends "The Lemon Tree" about two families.  A palestinian family who is kicked out of their home when the Jewish settlers come, and the Jewish family that ends up living in their house.  It's an inspiring story also.

All 3 of these look fascinating!  I am sure I will be reading them soon.  Thanks for the comments and for giving us some more reading.  If there were just something that we could do.  But trying to understand is something.

I went online and did some research on screenings of Encounter Point.  And I found out that it was shown at the Kimball theater in Williamsburg, but in 2006!  So it looks like the only way to see it now is to order the dvd, which you can do online.
