Dear Christopher,

Thanks for your interest in whether I am departing the land of the living or not. Although there were moments when I myself was wondering, I think that I can pretty much assure you that it appears that I will be around for some time more.  I left Ma in the lowlands to tend to patients and to haul the dead ones home and Jilin and I hiked into the mountains this morning. It was a bit slow with an elapsed time of maybe 2 hours but I think I am on the up and up.  So you can thank the good Lord and direct your prayers in another direction where the need is more pressing.

I am happy to also report that I was not crushed between the toyota and a dump truck.  It was a bit close but I escaped with only minor injuries.  So just want to let  you know that your prayers are always welcome.
