Jesus: Heart Soil

Hereupon, my little heart
Bend your tendrils all about
Cling now with incessant meekness
To His kindness to the weakest
Child poor in loving well
Soul untrained & full of hell
Still He ever shows you favor
Teaches life how sweet to savor
Brings you up upon His knee
Shows you how love ought to be
Brings you through the days & nights
Carries you o'er the hills & heights
Lights your way with joys from Eden
Whispers still the words worth heeding:
"Come to Me, I'll give you rest. In knowing Me, you're truly blessed."
