I wasn't very interested in the upcoming presidential election until I started hearing all the talk about Ron Paul from the Paulington clan. Last I heard Ron Paul was trying to raise more money. Does anyone know the latest on his progress? Do you think there is any chance for him? Ron Williams if you're out there can you enlighten me? Jade :) »

Jade, I think Ron Paul has an excellent chance to win. As of this posting he has raised almost $19 million in the 4th quarter. More than any of the other candidates. It is too bad that money plays such an important part in the election. But money isn’t all that Dr Paul has going for him. His positions are consistent, and well informed; he doesn’t rely on sound bites or scripted answers, he doesn’t resort to petty personal attacks, and he can debate anyone anywhere at any time. These qualities inspire an awful lot of confidence in voters and, if the media wakes up and starts to do its job, a lot more people are going to see just why Ron Paul is the best possible candidate. No, I take that back. Even without the mainstream media he will do just fine. After all he has gotten this far without them (or in spite of them) by using the Internet and supporters on the ground. This is truly a grassroots movement. Although I have never cared much for politics, this is the first candidate I have ever felt compelled to support. This is it.... Once in a lifetime. You will never see a politician with more integrity, and a better message or track record. Check out the sites below and decide for yourself.
The Iowa caucus (Jan 3) and the New Hampshire primary(Jan 8) will be the first real test of Dr Paul’s support. The Virginia primary will be on Feb 12th. It is an open primary, meaning if you are a registered voter you can participate. The deadline to register though is Jan 14. To get more information on Dr Paul go to:

This is the first time I've really had much interest in politics either. It sure is a big topic in the Williams and George homes these days... We even got Ron Paul t-shirts for Christmas (guess who they were from :)!)

I just looked up one of the websites and was impressed and excited about what I saw. The fact that he doesn't go around bashing other candidates speaks volummes to me!!! He has won my support--it is so refreshing to have a more than half decent person running for president. Thanks for sharing info with me Ron!!
