Some quotes from Imperial Hubris
Submitted by Aunt Judy on Sun, 2008-11-23 12:10This is an amazing book. It is written by Michael Scheur. Near the end of the book he poses some questions needing debate. I may not be smart enough to debate some of his ideas but a lot of what he says makes sense. And I don't necessarily agree with everything he says. So these are just food for thought. Here they are (but not in their entirety):

Add another one to the Failure Factory
Submitted by Aunt Judy on Sat, 2008-11-22 15:45I read on Al Jazeera that Hillary Clinton is accepting Obama's offier of Secretary of State. I could not be much more disappointed. Looks like just another beaurocrat being moved around. And the State Department is one of the areas we need to get some really knowledgeable folks back into. This, to me, is really bad news. So much for change!

Baruch
Submitted by somertyme on Tue, 2008-11-18 21:20This Friday (November 21st) evening at 6:30, Baruch will be held at "Our Community Place" in Harrisonburg, across from the Little Grill. Baruch means "blessed", and this is a time for local christian artists to come together to worship God through music or other forms of art.

Touch the Earth
Submitted by Aunt Judy on Mon, 2008-11-10 10:27Many years ago I found a book titled Touch the Earth (A Self-Portrait of Indian Existence). I was really touched by the writings in this book. And I want to share with you an excerpt from this book. This is not to spark a discussion of right/wrong, red/white, pagan or not. It is just to share some simple, spiritual writings. I was so touched by this book and

What a glorious Day!
Submitted by Aunt Judy on Sun, 2008-11-09 19:08What a glorious day! My children will be home for Thanksgiving, I have recuperated from my surgeries, I walked 2.5 miles today and it was absolutely beautiful. The trees are brilliant yellows, red, oranges! I feel so blessed! I am looking forward to the holidays and spending quality family time together. What more could a person ask for? I had an email from m

The lesser of two evils is still evil (picture)
Submitted by christopher on Tue, 2008-11-04 08:04I felt responsible to warn people about what they may perceive as their only two choices this election. So I painted a sign, and this morning Isaiah and I delivered it.

They're trying to stage a coup
Submitted by christopher on Tue, 2008-11-04 07:44They're trying to stage a coup for McCain. Just watch the media! Yesterday I saw an article by George Stephanopolis saying, "what if the polls are wrong and McCain wins." He suggests this will indicate that pollsters are all wrong and the media is corrupt, but won't everybody else be wondering about a rigged election?
Then this morning, from CNN:

A Blog
Submitted by Jesse_Willis on Thu, 2008-10-30 20:56I've not really paid much attention to this blogging craz that has taken the world by storm so am mostly unaware of what it is supposed to be. Is it some sort of journal that the public can read or is there supposed to be a particular topic? Do I just write about myself or is it acceptable to write about others? What are the rules of this game? Is there ettiquet or is it a mosh pit?
